The toolkit was published in February 2006 and you can read the Consumer Interest Toolkit here.

On 28 February 2007 Ofcom published a twelve month progress and evaluation report on how it had used the toolkit to embed the consumer interest within the organisation. Read the report.

On 7 March 2008 a Panel report was published which used the toolkit to assess three Ofcom projects: the removal of BT's retail price controls, broadband migrations and licence exemption framework reviews. Read the report.

Earlier this year (2013), Ofcom undertook a review of its compliance with the Consumer Interest Toolkit produced by the Panel.

The correspondence here details Ofcom's report of its findings and the Panel's response.

Our last report was launched in March 2008. Read Robert Madelin's slides and Peter Phillips' speech.

In May 2007 the Panel delivered a presentation on the Toolkit in Brussels to DG SANCO, at the invitation of Meglena Kuneva, European Commissioner for Consumer Protection. A note of the meeting can be found here.

The toolkit was launched at an event in February 2006. The event report can be read here and Stephen Carter's speech can be found here.
