Strengthening the consumer voice in the communications sector

01 June 2019

To effect real change in the communications sector, we proposed that there needs to be much greater collaboration between appropriate consumer bodies, who can bring to bear a range of vital expertise and evidence. This can be achieved through a variety of means, enabling greater consistency, a stronger voice for the Nations and resulting in greater input into Governmental thinking and policy development.

We would like to thank those stakeholders who responded to our proposals. We received 11 responses and have considered all the comments made. The updated plans reflect that consideration:

Whilst we are not in a position to do everything that we would like to achieve, we want to establish a framework for strong and enduring advocacy as quickly as possible.

We will be working on more detailed planning over the coming weeks and look forward to discussing these plans with our stakeholders.
